Create, schedule and send a campaign

2 min read · Updated

A campaign has four tabs: Content, Audience, Delivery and Report. You can fill in the first three in any order; the campaign can be scheduled or sent once all three are ready.

Start the campaign

Go to Campaigns and create a new one. Pick a starting point:

  • Start from scratch: an empty campaign you write yourself.
  • Browse templates: start from a saved template.
  • Create with your AI agent: ask ChatGPT, Claude, Codex or Cursor to draft it. It lands here as a draft.
  • Pick a window: a re-engagement campaign aimed at contacts who have gone quiet.

Sendtim does not run an AI model of its own. Your agent does the writing and saves the campaign through the MCP server, on every plan and with no AI credits. See Connect your AI agent.

Write the content

On Content, set the subject line and the preview text (the line inboxes show after the subject), then build the body in the visual editor. A draft your AI agent wrote shows up here too, ready to edit.

Choose the audience

On Audience, tick the lists and segments to include, and any to exclude. Someone in more than one included group is counted once; anyone in an excluded group is left out. Unsubscribed, bounced and suppressed contacts are removed automatically. The Estimated audience count updates as you go; select Save audience when it looks right.

Set the sender

On Delivery, choose the from name and address. The address must be on a verified sending domain. If you set a default sender for the domain, new campaigns start with it filled in.

Send a test

Send test emails the current draft to up to five addresses immediately. Check it on your phone as well as your desktop, and click every link.

Schedule it, or send it now

Schedule opens a date and time picker in your browser’s own timezone. The send time must be at least two minutes away. The campaign starts on its own at that time.

Send now shows how many people will receive the campaign, then asks you to type the campaign’s exact name to confirm, so the wrong campaign cannot go out by accident. Suppressions and unsubscribes are checked again at the moment of sending.

While it sends, and after

A campaign moves through draft, scheduled, preparing, sending and completed. While it is sending you can pause and later resume it; a campaign that has not finished can be canceled. These actions need an admin or owner role.

The Report tab shows engagement over time, clicks for each link, and a count of recipients by delivery state: sent, delivered, bounced, complained, skipped or failed.
