Design emails in the visual editor
1 min read · Updated
Templates are the reusable designs behind your campaigns and automation emails. Build them in the visual editor on Templates, or have AI generate one from a campaign brief. Every template is stored with an HTML version and a plain-text alternative, so it reads well in any inbox.
Build with blocks
Drag a block from the Blocks panel into a section, or click it to add it at the end. Select any block to change its content and style.
| Block | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Heading | Section titles. |
| Text | Body copy, with links and merge tags. |
| Button | A call to action with its own link. |
| Image | A picture from your File manager or a URL. |
| Divider | A line between sections. |
| Spacer | Vertical breathing room. |
| Custom HTML | Anything the other blocks cannot do. |
| Footer | Your unsubscribe and preferences links, ready to style. |
Images
Upload images once to the File manager and they are available to every template in the workspace. Keep the important message in text rather than inside an image: many inboxes hide images until the reader allows them.
Edit, HTML, JSON and Preview
- Edit is the visual canvas.
- HTML shows the email exactly as it will be sent.
- JSON is the template’s structure, handy for copying a design between workspaces.
- Preview renders the finished email; switch the preview width to check how it looks on a phone.
Changes save automatically. Use Duplicate to start a variation without touching the original, and Send test to see the real thing in your inbox.
